They are all black and white. I was friends or an acquaintance of the bands or the concert promotors and have the backstage passes to prove it. I still have the negatives (on cd’s) and would like to sell a copy or copies limited to say 10 and then destroy/delete the negative. I have no agreement with anyone nor contract (hey I’m 70 years old). Can I legally sell these copies on one of the memorabilia sites?

Comment on Why Music Photographers Wear Black by Brent https://ishootshows.com/why-music-photographers-wear-black/#comment-587890 Thu, 15 Feb 2024 20:32:58 +0000 https://ishootshows.com/?p=18705#comment-587890 As a camera operator (part time freelance) when I’m on the stage I wear: black hat –keeps the stage lights out of my eyes. But as I have gotten older, it hides the grey hair!, Black gloves–so I don’t drop the camera! Seriously, the gloves are very tactile. And long sleeve black running tops–because I’m very pale and can’t stand the thought of the lights illuminating my arms. A bass player once told me I looked like I’m on the SWAT team. I assured him that “I got your back.” He loved it! But he knew that I was there to showcase his awesome talent.

Comment on The Best ISO for Concert Photography by Bill Passannante https://ishootshows.com/concert-photography-high-iso/#comment-585748 Thu, 14 Dec 2023 04:22:11 +0000 https://ishootshows.com/?p=21227#comment-585748 The high ISO might work with most bands, but take band like Trans-Siberian Orchestra , and I’ll bet all you’ll get are ‘ snow storms’ . Their lighting is brightest I’ve ever seen and will most likely wash out any shot at that high an ISO , ESPECIALLY if your aperture is that low.

Comment on Nikon Z 9: Autofocus Modes Explained by David Lear https://ishootshows.com/nikon-z-9-autofocus-modes-explained/#comment-583561 Wed, 18 Oct 2023 08:39:32 +0000 https://ishootshows.com/?p=19262#comment-583561 In reply to dayle ann clavin.

What a great and simple way of explaining the focus modes and how best to use them. I’ve spend hours searching for a simple explanation. I shoot, not literally, fast military jets and whilst my images are good I feel like the campers isn’t being used to it’s best. Now with the plane tracking firmware I will be experimenting with that mode.
